Hello radio folks. I purchased an Anytone 778 mobile, and while it's a nice radio, I can't get my computer and the radio to communicate, prolific dver problem. I have so far been successful using the mic to program the radio, but wondered if another radio's driver works. The radio came with a programming cable, no software, so as far as I know the cable is griood. Looking for some direction, thanks

hi, it's not the cable or driver. you need to download the absolutely correct software from the Anytone web site. it can be difficult to find! You might try looking at Bridgecom system's web site. Oh, Windows only.

I do not believe any alternate programs (chirp) support this model.

Ok, I'll give the anytone site another try. I checked they're site to see what they had software wise, but I'll look them over again. And you said Bridgecom, is that, or is it all one word? Thanks for the direction.

    chirp now supports the at-778uv

My cable, which may or may not have been made by AnyTone, reports as a Prolific 2303 so I had the usual driver problems....
