Anyone have a junker Henry Radio Tempo One transceiver that has a good "Oper-Rec-Cal" switch?

I just need the switch - it's a funky wafer switch - 4 sections with only 3 being used. My switch is just worn out and the non-replaceable cam has failed.

Let me know what you might have - post here or PM or email

    Thanks!!

    Dave,

Don't forget: the Tempo One was also marketed outside the US as the Yaesu FT-200 (or the FT-250 in the Sommerkamp line).

This is true! Not likely to find a Sommerkamp but maybe there's an FT-200 junker floating around

Still looking - ironically enough, I JUST FINISHED working all 50 states on this Tempo One, and the day it's new owner was to come take it home, that VERY MOMENT, the switch failed! I'm just glad it didn't fail the moment he got it home

Look at the various Drake parts listings on eBay and check with the Drake Reflector. A couple of their antenna tuners and at least one amplifier used a switch of this type for adding capacitance to output networks, selecting meter functions and so forth. You might be able to swap the wafers between the mechanisms and get a usable switch...and you might find a part that works outright.

    Dave -

OK, you are looking for a 3 position Lever Switch !!

CentraLab (Milwaukee, WI) and Oak Switch were major manufacturers ...
rotary wafer switches in a vertical orientation.
Both of those companies were bought out by Electroswitch (Raleigh, NC), and the
Electroswitch E2 Series (Linear action) is their standard offering.

Since the 1950s, these Lever (Linear Rotary Wafer Switches) were found in Intercom System, Audio Consoles, Electric Guitars, and Telephone Systems.

Musicians and Music Industry Manufacturers have supported Electroswitch in continuing production of some Switch Designs used in classic guitars and instruments. A90885B2-9318-4D87-A39C-4BFF7C54F7DC.jpeg

That would be awesome Roger! I only need that one switch - rest of the radio works perfectly. In fact, I just worked all 50 US states with it!!

    keep me posted....

Thanks Roger - another chap said he had one and would send it but he's never gotten back with a shipping cost and such.

Let me know what you might find - that switch is the only thing the radio needs (I had literally just finished working all 50 states when the switch failed - and while I could certainly come up with a generic replacement, I'd much prefer to keep it original)

    Thanks!!
