    I recently bought a 2017 Toyota Carmy.

I've been running HF mobile since 1993, but can't seem to find room for my beloved TS480HX.

I heard somebody say that HF screwed up there Toyota's computer so bad that the car would not run, and had to be towed to the dealer ?

I'm savvy with bonding/grounding, running DC to the battrey, etc.

Anyone ever have this trouble ?

    73 Derek.

    pics of older installs...

    worked T32C with this one

Nobody here on The Zed. Not in the last 10+ years.

p.s. Remember not to step on cracks in the sidewalk!

I made a cupholder mount for my 2008 Ford Ranger. Beware of airbag deployment areas. Using IC-7000. Can be hidden inderseat.

I run mobile with an older 2007 Camry 4 cylinder and have never had an electronics problem.
I use an Icom 706MIIG with the head on the center console and the radio in the trunk.

I had a 2004 Camry 4 cyl with TS480SAT. Never ran more than 20 watts, but no issues. My 2007 Highlander, however, was highly susceptible to RF even at 5 watts.

why never more than 20 watts ?

what kind of trouble did the 2007 highlander have?

I suspect it was just RFI-susceptible. I never did like that damn car anyway. Glad we got rid of it for a Honda van for the dogs

What kinds of RFI troubles did you experience ?

I would imagine anyone using magmounts and not doing any proper RF grounding, bonding or choking.
