haa Haa i hear ya Steve I guess i was thinking many homes i know use either 12/2 wG or 14/2 WG Romex style wire and there for my concern. Not much conduit used around here other then Green field type used for some receptacles.

 

Here it's very common when running a "new" line to just run it in conduit outside the house (clamped to the wall then painted over to match), and bring it into the house exactly where the outlet box will be and call it a day. Easier than running through walls and such, and provides the flexibility to pull new wires through if and when needed without having to open anything up.

Then, we often run new water lines outside, too. It never freezes, so why not?
