As an older person I find the flashing ads on the left side of the page extremely annoying. This is forcing me to quickly logout of QRZ. I understand the purpose of the ads. Possible to make the ads static instead of flashing?
You can use a web browser that blocks ads but that takes a bit of money away from QRZ. Alternately, you could subscribe to QRZ and turn off all ads while still supporting QRZ. The Premium Membership level allows you to turn off ads.
I use AdBlock Plus, but plenty still get through. If they flash or have animation I manually block them. It's a bit like swatting flies at a picnic, but I'm slowly making headway. In my case it costs QRZ nothing, since I never look at the ads in the first place, let alone buy anything from them. Tim
