My phone was upgraded to Android 9 Pie last week and it seems to me that the battery is going down a bit faster then 8.1. Although it has this adaptive battery function, the battery level seems to go down faster.

I'm wondering if anyone else see this?

You should search Google for android 9 tips and tricks. There will be some tricks for optimizing battery life.

It's entirely possible some new features are using more power, and you noticed.

On your phone search settings for; optimize battery usage. Start there.

You most likely need to turn off all of the new spy apps.

Well, I am not looking to squeeze every ma out of the battery. As a matter of fact, I have all the battery saving options turned off. That said, it just seems to me that Pie is draining the battery just a little faster than before. Just an observation.

Oh, you mean all the in-app advertising! The only one that really does that is Gasbuddy. All the others I gladly pay for; just can't take all of those ads.
