Fred: did you notify the bank, Rockland Trust? The banks and the feds take a very dim view of money laundering. You have the account number and the bank's internal records can follow the cash out of the account to its ultimate destination. Banker for 40 years....
Fred, honestly, how on earth can you sleep at night? The seller is laying in a hospital bed with his feet all cobbled up and his wife is taking care of the house and working outside. We could offer him legitimate, noble work making license plates and his wife may enjoy cooking for 1,000 hungry lads each night. I had a paper route at age 11. It builds character, at least it did in my case. If those ideas don't work then take him around back and shoot him! ;-)

Yup and I build Custom Choppers I am no Doctor but I could cure his Cancer with my hand grinder with a zip blade on it. Oh no I cut out the good parts I must learn to turn on the lights.
I have bought most of my Ham Gear at Swap meets and have been very lucky. Only got bit once on a Yaesu AMP 2100z. And we have heard the same Pitch. So after that sting never again. If I buy at a meet I tell the seller to prove the item works as it should. If he can't politely tell him to take his trash home and that ends the Negotiations.
