The factory chokes down the AL-572 on 10 meters for some unknown reason, can this be "undone" to make a good amp whole on ALL of the ham bands...or I guess 10 meters is a CB band now...any help would be appreciated...Keith, K9SPD

Ameritron doesn’t “ choke down” any of their amps on 10 meters. Many amps just don’t perform as well on 10 meters but only by a smack percentage. There could be explainable reasons.

What power level are you expecting, or get on other bands? Plate current, HV, and grid current comparisons to other bands? What's the amp's input SWR?
Do you have a dummy load to test the amp with?

What are you driving it with?

We need to know a little bit more about your situation to offer clues or suggestions.
