Used, short leads and leaky, sounds good to me! Especially if I'm the seller!
"Amazing sounding vintage fully broken-in audio capacitor - make your sound-stage come alive with Ella using none other than a capacitor that was made in her lifetime, and not far from where she may have lived. Leads have been strategically clipped for proper resonance, signal loss, and sonic signature.
The wax and paper inside these caps were specially formulated in the 1930s to process the sounds originally intended to flow through them, straight from the fresh-cut wax platter to your ears - trust me: you'll truly appreciate how your sound-stage comes alive, how you perceive the 3D of the original performer from all those years ago.
Limited quantities - limit 5 per buyer per order - $30 each plus $5.99 shipping"
Such a deal: (free speakers too)
Just because they list something on eBay doesn't mean that they'll get it.
I've seen the same listing for a Watkins-Johnson for almost TWO YEARS!
So true - but that's really the thrust of this thread. STUPID sellers who have no clue that the crap they're listing will never ever sell.
That was exactly my point regarding "Amazing Junk"
Burt's post above is a perfect example: amazing junk that will never ever sell at that asking price ($499 + $243 in shipping!!) - photo below
A fool and his money...
I bet the VIKING VALIANT is a better value than this:
USC Student Season Ticket Booklet Fall 1963 Spring 1964
“Vintage - used - see photos”
Certainly cheaper to ship
Dave (W7UUU) On the shipping of the cap in your first post. When an item exceeds a 1/4 of an inch in thickness, I believe shipping automatically jumps up to around $2.10. Also increase in postage if item is hard to bend.
Q: What's the differrence between junk on eBay and junk at a hamfest?
A: Only the location!
