    Just had a QSO (3:20PM CDST) with AC7DA in Benton Wa, on 14.340. Brent was transmitting with his upgraded Johnson 500.

    QSB started to increase so we said 73 at 3:40.

    And can you believe this scene from the ARRL Laboratory that afternoon? Eico power supply, Superior Instruments tube tester, and a Sencore frequency counter displaying 1880kc?

    As if taken right out of a Radio Amateur's Handbook from back in the day!

    Sure has been dead lately.
    Even no CW on 160,80 and 40 meters.
    A bit of AM on 160, but that is it!

    I was on 7293 late Saturday afternoon here, enjoying a QSO with a SoCal station. All was well until a Chinese BC station signed on, using 7295.
