Called CQ on 29000 but nobody home yet. Best way to make contact is check if 29000 is clear and if it is, call CQ. Many people leave a receiver parked there. When the band is open for days on end it starts to make more sense to call CQ somewhere higher. Right now you could go completely unnoticed anyplace but 29000. If you aren't hearing any 10 meter beacons you will not be making any skywave contacts : ( KQ2H repeater on 29.6 is used worldwide as a beacon for AM and FM users.
