    Ok so I got me signed up.. Looking at a TYT TH9000D VHF... Looking at a Pi3 with DIAL. What else am I missing to build my own repeater/Node?

    A DMK-URI USB interface is a good choice. http://dmkeng.com/

    Some people are modifying a USB audio Fob, But the DMK-URI USB is a much better choice. http://dmkeng.com/URI_Order_Page.htm

    You probably need a radio that puts out a COS signal.
    I don't think the TYT has that without performing surgery on it.

    There is a connector on the board that lets you tap into the needed signals.
