Looks identical to my DJ500 but you got airband !!
Is the squelch menu driven, or can one of the top knobs adjust it?
My main gripe has been the change to menu driven squelch. Just a pure pain in the butt, to me - but that's one of my last luddite hold outs.
That requirement lead to the FT-60, and a fine radio it is. But I would not have any qualms getting Alinco. I was jonesin' for the DJ-G7, but couldn't justify the cost for a secondary radio to my mobile rig. If my wife or kids get their licenses, I may be able to spring for one.
If you have some kind of short usage review, I'd like to read it.
I haven't programmed it yet as I'm waiting on a programming cable plus, I've got to learn it still. I don't test for my license 'til Jan. 18th so, won't be able to give any reviews 'til sometime after. Keeping in mind this is my first so, won't be able to give any real comparison opinions.
Well, I've been listening to traffic from Salem, (20 some odd miles away) and the Alinco picks up real well here in my mobile home. It has real clear audio and the HT it self feels very solid. So far, very happy!
