He was very active on CW. I am surprised there was no mention of him here. He was one of the most active hams. Was a great CW op. I have met him in person at his place in Tucson, a few times. I sure was sad to see he passed. We used to also work a lot on CW when he lived up in WA state. -Don- AA6GA/7 Reno, NV

DEAR FRIENDS AND FAMILY, WE ARE ALL VERY SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. THANK YOU FOR THE INVITATION TO ALAN'S CELEBRATION. WE KNOW THAT MANY FOLKS WILL BE THERE IN PERSON AND MANY OF US WILL BE THERE IN SPIRIT. ALAN WAS A TOP NOTCH CW OPERATOR AND ONE OF THE EARLY PIONEERS OF THE CW OPS GROUP.
I WOULD LIKE TO NOTE, OVER THE YEARS I HAVE HAD MANY FB QSO's WITH ALAN. HE WAS A TOP NOTCH CW OPERATOR AND A "CLASS ACT" ON THE BANDS. HE LOVED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE WEEKLY CW OPS CWT EVENT AND THE SALMON RUN. WHEN I WUD CONTACT HIM DURING THE SALMON RUN, I JOKED WITH HIM AND TOLD HIM TO CATCH THOSE FISH. GOD REST HIS SOUL RESPECTFULLY,
