I bought a cheap 9 dollar am BCB notch filter and tried it on the RSPDX and discovered the change was spectacular.
Better sensitivity everywhere. Incredible. It helped the airspy too, especially on longwave.
I heard medi-1 on 171kc and bbc on 198kc with the rspdx. My MW situation here is...severe.
I am loving the rspdx now. It was fun on HF too...much better than it was. I can now recommend it
strongly for dc to 2 gig. Great radio.

Which notch filter did you buy; I live about a mile from a high power BCB station.

No problem. My situation is so bad I use 2 of them in series! The amount of energy getting to the ADC has to be controlled or performance suffers.

I have 5 stations that are here very strong. 25kw 2 miles away, 47kw 10 miles away, 5 kw 2 miles away,1kw less than 2 miles
and 5kw less than 2 miles. Great for crystal sets! Not so great for direct SDR!!!
