Adjusting Hallicrafters SX-85 Main Dial and Band Spread Position

Interesting, there is a scratch on one of the plates for the main tuning capacitor - I don't see anything touching now however there seems to be a dead spot in the same place when tuning around - regardless of the band selected. I'm not sure I noticed that before. Still investigating

I *THINK* the dead spots are because I switched to a 15' length of wire for the antenna to test AM reception and forgot to go back to my dipole
