I was selling the ladder line and also have a 4:1 Un-Un listed now. The scammer was trying to sell an expensive FLEX6300 he didn't have.
The "I sent 5 inquiries" line is the key to this scammer. Then he gives a fake QRZ link that is his method of getting your password. Then he can change your visible email on QRZ.
Many fall for it.
If you look close at the fake page, The time does not match the real time, Like it does on the real QRZ Login.
The time on the fake page, Is the last time they yanked a QRZ logon screen.
With it not being in this country they do not have to play by our rules.
Just beware of your surroundings. Look before you click.
Unfortunately, when I got the fake email response to my ad, I saw it on my phone and couldn't really see the screen details like I would on my computer. By the time I realized it wasn't the real QRZ it was too late.
Same for me...I got this last week.. Note someone has gone to some effort to phish given the "haRNradio", not hamradio email, and the fake callsign.. If you follow it to the German callsign it says the page is managed by W5LB.
ADVICE: do not click on any URLs within any emails, scroll over and see id they match. The URL below which I have DISABLED would send you to the fake credential site noted above.

https DISABLED://forums.qrz.com/index.php?forums/ham-radio-gear-for-sale.7/ DISABLED
So we can proceed with shipping and payment.
Your disabled link works. But Thank You.
This gives it away
QRZ staff could use that time stamp for a clue of who.
I got in using "IB4TL" as a user name. Password "password". They do give you cookies.
It is a old scam. And against the law in the U.S.A.
Just a follow up... hoff-ashby.com.au never replied to my notice their site was hacked and being used by a scammer, but not the
whole account has been disabled by their host. This should slow this scammer down a little bit
That is cool.
yeh, good ol "RANDALL" wanted my ft990 and pick up local.................
