    The Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (DCO) was founded on September 28, 1960. It was constituted as a cell of the neighborhood that channels the needs of the people, to defend our social work, women, men, elders, students, workers, peasants, professionals, intellectuals, retirees or housewives.
    Today with more than half a century of work they reach their 59th anniversary and are a formidable force in the defense of revolution, where they have become a tradition within our people, because the consciousness is being transmitted to the new generations , morality, the revolutionary spirit of the heroes of our history.
    Members of the Radio Club of Sancti Spíritus will hold on September 28, 2019 from 0700 to 2200 hours of Cuba a special broadcast in greeting to the 59th anniversary of the creation of the Committee for the Defense of the Revolution, from the Honorato del Castle with CO0CDR station.
    At the moment the Radio Club has the authorization of the Ministry of Communications (MINCOM) in which the characteristics of this Station, which will be represented, as responsible for it, by Omar Ricardo Socarras (CO6OZ), will work will be worked in A1A, J2D, J3E, F3E emission modes, in the 40- and 2-meter bands and will be equipped with a Kenwood TK-80 and Yaesu FTL-2011. The Radiant system will consist of Dipole antenna and AG7 antenna.
    This special broadcast will grant three types of diploma that support the participation of participating amateur radio stations:
    Gold diploma, will be awarded to the station that makes contacts in all working modes J3E, F3E, J2D, A1A.
    Silver Diploma, will be awarded to the station that makes contacts in three of the j3E, F3E, J2D, A1A working modes.
    Diploma de Broce: the station that contacts two of the working modes J3E, F3E, J2D, A1A.
    Diploma for having participated in any of the modes of work.
