Since these amplifiers are manufactured and shipped from Bulgaria, not surprising that it ships with 240 VAC European cord set.

ACOM amplifier uses an IEC C14 receptacle on its back panel — SO a NEMA 6-15P to an IEC C13 “Cord Set” or “Whip” is required.

Your Canadian reseller (RadioWorld and Augustica Tech are only authorized dealers for Canada)
They should be ordering without cordset from Acom AND supplying the proper NEMA 6-15P compliant 240 VAC cord for North America.
    IEC 60320-1 Standard
IEC 60320-1 defines a Cord Set as an "assembly consisting of one cable or cord fitted with one plug and one connector, intended for the connection of an electrical appliance or equipment to the electrical supply.

Not to worry any more. I was able to just plug it in to 120v 15 amp and was able to TX at almost 600 watts. On Monday I was able to install a 240v 20 amp service to my shack and now I'm pushing 1000 watts like expected. Only takes about 35 watts of drive to get it there. Have to be careful when using digital mode now.

The Acom's are a great amp, I had the Acom 1010 and now own the Acom 1500, best amp I've owned by far. Good luck with yours :)
