RE: long range chat messages. could use a little more user interface if this could send a short URL link it might find a place as a add on to other multi-digital software paks like FL-digi. ( that does auto ID modes FYI ) we do have a lot of digital utility tools in the tool shed already... I think we have forgotten to soon about one of the nicer flavors on JT that was early on i think out of Australia offering keyboard chat and also a new 500hz wide SSTV style able to slig out jpges, PDF and image files ideal for 'whos at the fall out shelter' type hand written,typed or scribbled on paper type, lists over a HF link.... any of the modes can be better utilized if it includes the ability to bounce/reroute your signal/messages off other stations on the band.... I think it was an early mode of JS Call I am thinking of....
