I used so much yellow tape that maybe there wasn't enough left for them.
I had to assist with COVID-19 surveillance duties, but hope to get on 6 meters SSB tomorrow as 1B.
Well, that's it for this year.
178 call signs logged, CW only, 10, 15, 20, 40 and 80. 80M doublet up 20 feet (couldn't get it any higher). All I did was search and pounce.
Club: The Outstanding in Their Field Amateur Radio Field Day Club (It fit!)
I looked at the time and realized I was 10 minutes late for the ARRL Field Day CW message. Rats! Missed some easy points.
Mostly 1D's and 1E's on the air this year. There are some competition clubs out there that will accumulate pretty large scores. I recognized some calls I work regularly in other contests. Some were S9+20 for me, but apparently they didn't hear my little field station in the forest running only 100 watts. (75 watts as my battery voltage got nearer and nearer to 12.0 volts.) If they didn't answer me after 5 tries, I moved on. I tried for 200, but when my battery hit 50%, I quit.
Claimed score of 862.
If there're only two members in this club, ...
Who else is in this club?
Who are all the idiots calling CQ Field Day on 17m? I've heard three or four since yesterday
Actually, we're down to one member now. The official word was that we could abbreviate as "Outstanding In Their Field ARC," which is how I did mine. But as they said, there's little chance that it will be confused with another club, so hopefully they'll combine them manually. So far, yours and mine are the only ones listed in the entries received:
Kind of put the club's f(l)ounder to shame there...
Obviously, I didn't use enough yellow tape.
How did you do?
I'm two contacts shy of my goal to fill one log sheet. Operating 1E. Vast majority of contacts on 40M CW. All very casual operating. Loads of fun.
Oh yes: no tape here. heh.
Ok. I just updated mine to "Outstanding In Their Field ARC"
Edit: We're back up to 2 members.
You couldn't copy their calls?
