Last night I made my first listen to 630m JT/FT modes. Saw several strong JT9 stations. Very cool. I guess I need to figure out how to couple my 160m Marconi up. But right in the middle of the frequency was a very strong wide spaced mark/space slowly and continuously diddling. As if it were some sort of beacon. It repeated over and over and became musical notes almost. I tried running the audio thru HRD Digital Master but nothing fit. It really didn't seem to be interfering with any JT9 traffic at that time. But I could see how it might sometime. Any clues?

Hi Ed - There are several strong CW beacons on the low end, and occasional JT65.

Here is a screen cap of the active portion of the 630m band. You can see CW, JT9-1 and WSPR. As conditions get better it will get busy.

Here's an article on a load coil for a simple 40' vert that may help. https://www.n1fd.org/2019/10/27/630m-match/

    Good luck !
