No matter the day, no matter the weather, no matter anything whatsoever, 5.332MHz is always distinctly noisier than 5.348MHz on the 60m band. Noisier by at 2 to 3 S-units. And with a distinct hollow howl, like listening to wind through the tube from a empty roll of toilet paper.

So I'm wondering, is it thus with anyone else? Or is it only just me? Should I suspect my IC-745, or the local environment? QTH is just north of Holland MI, a quarter mile inland from Lake Michigan, across the lake from Milwaukee.

Just where you are. All fine where I live (Seattle area). Just typical "low band noise" - nothing bad most of the time.

Just how atmospherics work on HF - something local to you and your area would be my guess
