What are many applications cited for manual review?

    W4ID? Really? Now that’s funny!

How many put in the request for it?

With Honorable Mention to the Insufficient Class participants:

Both of these examples somewhat make the case for a minimum license-holding period, such as five years, prior to applying for a vanity call.
It would give them time to figure out the system. Maybe.

    Just my $0.02 worth.

We (hams) surely seem attracted to those calls with meaningful acronyms in them. :) OTOH, W4ID would be a great call for working CW.

Mine is a vanity call, too. But I was just looking for a shorter call at the time. My old 2x2 was just too many syllables and too many keystrokes, or so it seemed at the time.

"Insufficient Class" is pretty funny. Guess they flunked "How It Works 101." :D

How can they flunk that which they have never even bother to take? :D
