I will be spending the summer as a CG Host in the Dorst Creek Campground, 9 miles north of Lodgepole, in the Sequoia NP. I haven't been there for several years, and the last time I was there I remember hitting a couple of repeaters with an HT.

this is time I'm bringing a 50w mobile 2m rig with me. Does anyone know which repeaters might be accessible from there?

    thanks and 73

Look for repeaters in the Visalia and Tulare areas. Those repeaters are likely to be just west of the park. Across the valley, look for repeaters listed under Hanford, Lemoore, and Coalinga. The location for those repeaters are usually just north of Coalinga.

Depending on where you are in the park, you may be able to reach the Fresno/Clovis repeaters. Also look under Meadow Lakes.

You will also be able to reach repeaters on Cuesta Ridge in San Luis Obispo County, a few repeaters for King City, and possibly the Fremont Peak repeaters.

If you don't have a repeater handbook you can get a list of repeaters here:

    http://www.narcc.org/

Look under San Joaquin Valley and Central Coast.

Check out the Winsystem at winsystem.org as they have repeaters in Fresno that you might be able to hit. The Winsystem is a linked system with about 90+ repeaters linked throughout the US and a few foreign countries.
