The 27th Annual Route 66 On the Air kicks off on September 12th at 00:00Z and runs through September 20th at 23:59Z. This year, 23 stations will be active all along historic Route 66—from Chicago to Santa Monica, California. See if you can work all 23 for a clean sweep. It won’t be easy, but it will definitely be fun and a great challenge.

More information is available on the Citrus Belt ARC website: https://w6jbt.org/2013-route-66-on-the-air-participating-clubs/

Once again, the Northern Arizona DX Association, who originally created this event back in 2000, will be on the air with three stations:

    • W6G – NADXA members in the Flagstaff area

    • W6G/P – NADXA members operating from outside the area, including out‑of‑state

    • Two Rover stations
Rover #1 will be located just off Route 66 east of Winona, Arizona (don’t forget Winona!). Rover #2 will be at a new location this year, just west of Flagstaff on Old Route 66 at Naval Observatory Road, running three stations: SSB, FT‑8/FT‑4, and a third station operating SSB and possibly some CW.

Watch DX Summit for postings of our operating times and frequencies. We’ll do our best to cover all bands, as time and conditions permit.

73, Bob, NF7E Northern Arizona DX Association
