SPECIAL EVENT - August 13th through August 23rd, 2026 In 2025 there were 4 of us that test-ran doing a special event station to celebrate the Iowa State Fair. This is an internationally acclaimed state fair with over a million visitors. The fair celebrates agriculture, industry, entertainment and achievement. To make it more exciting for this year we have 4 special event stations WØI, WØO, WØW, and WØA with a bonus station of WØC (for CornDog, which is a state fair tradition) The special event stations will be operated by Iowa based licensed operators and clubs to help spread the word and celebrate this amazing annual event. Special Thank you to the Iowa State Fair, Jim -W6GRE, John -KCØRAM, Justin -KØROL, and Nick -KFØSAJ. The Bonus station is in memory of silent key Scott - KEØZBB. I’ve worked them after seeing them spotted on DXSummit. When they’re on they are usually spotted by someone.
I know a lot of work has gone into this. I am looking forward to working a clean sweep! It is going to be fun. I do want that corn dog!!!
