Until such time, we return in 2026 with the Chasing Cornwallis Challenge kicking off with one of the most deterministic events of America's War for Independence - The Battle of Cowpens where you are cordially invited to visit our new website Grand Opening on 01/15
    www.history.radio

The website will provide the expanded story of the Battle of Cowpens including the prelude and aftermath. Here is a tune-up:

"When the smoke cleared over Washington’s northern camps, the Continental Army looked like a beaten force: starving, sick, unpaid, and going nowhere while British flags flew over New York, Savannah, and Charleston. In the South, it was Cornwallis—not Washington—who drove events, smashing Gates at Camden and scattering Patriot morale, until backcountry riflemen shattered his flank at Kings Mountain and a limping, sciatica‑ridden Daniel Morgan stepped from semi‑retirement to bait Banastre Tarleton into a perfectly timed double‑envelopment at a place called the Cowpens. In less than an hour, Morgan’s mix of militia and Continentals destroyed Tarleton’s strike force, wrecked British plans for the Southern Campaign, and set Cornwallis on the desperate road that ended—not in triumph—but in surrender at Yorktown, reshaping not only America’s fate but the future of freedom movements around the world."
As with all of our events, QSL Cards and Certificates are offered free-of-charge. Our work is 100% funded through optional and appreciative Donations and Grants.

On behalf of Team K4C, we look forward to serving you"Beyond the Check-in"to hopefully inspire further inquiry into the brave:

Marc, you may recall last year you had to send me a replacement K4M card (and the first one never did arrive), looking forward to this, hoping I can work all six, I just saved the graphic with the schedule to my shack computer desktop! I'll be working ft8 on 40 thru 10, but probably with a bit more power this year, as it was with my IC-705 last year but I just got the IC-7300 Mk2 and hope to have that running ft8 - I guess I need to get busy! You might recall in our email exchanges that my 4th-great-grandfather, William Wartenbe, fought in the Revolution and War of 1812. I just found this recently:

    WilliamWartenbeDARrecords.jpeg

His son, Francis David is my 3rd-great-grandfather.

Hello from Viki N8VLC! It's my pleasure to join the list of volunteers and look forward to many QSOs as we celebrate our nation's birthday. I will be operating SSB on various bands from my Yaesu FT-991A and multi-band dipole antenna. I hope that many will be "repeat offenders" in my log! Good luck everyone!
