I have been doing more looking online and several sites mention a 12v outlet somewhere on the dash. So, it may be available after all. Very cool.

I'd like to see a V8-powered Gladiator! That would be good.

A buddy of mine reserved a Wildtrak 4 door. The independent front diff is a turn off to a lot of traditionalists, similar to jeep changing from the 4.0L inline 6 in the wranglers.

I have driven a handful of V8 wranglers, no fun to work on! There are companies that sell complete conversion kits.
I was bummed the Jeep Hurricane never came about.

    I believe it.
    I do NOT believe there's a current-day V8 engine I'd like to work on.
    Troubleshooting --yes. Repair -- no.
    They'd temp my patience.

Because they're easier to fix? Or because you can't get those pudgy sausages into a space designed for nanobots?

I saw an interesting vehicle the other day. A Ford F-150 with Shelby markings. Googled it and discovered that it really does exist. You can get a 395 HP V8 version starting at $95,505 or a Supercharged 770 HP version starting at $102,805. Website links for “Find a dealer” don’t work, so it does not appear to be completely ready for prime time just yet.

I remember the original Bronco. One of my chemistry profs had one. His had a power take off winch, 4WD, manual hubs, and a manual xmission. That was one tough vehicle.
