Scarborough lifeboat station was one of the first to be established in the United Kingdom, in March 1801, and will celebrate 200 years of lifesaving this month. The Scarborough Special Events Group will be active as GB2SLS from Saturday the 3rd of March, and a full-colour souvenir QSL card of the Scarborough Lifeboat will be issued to commemorate the occasion.

Activity will be mainly on the 40-metre band, SSB and CW. Short-Wave Listener reports are also very welcome, and QSL cards can be sent via the bureau or direct to the club call G0OOO.
