David - I understand the problems that sun can cause on both the equipment and the operator. I found a great light weight sun fly/ canopy that I can set up in 10 minutes; Neso Tents Grande Beach Tent, 7ft Tall, 9 x 9ft it comes with 2 shock corded 7 foot poles but I bought 2 additional. The whole thing packs up into a 18 " x 8" bag and only weighs about 7-8 lbs. I added some regular tent stakes and additional rope for setting up in non-beach settings. Found it on Amazon
