15 meters is open

    Agreed more time would help, at least on the less-busy bands. Were you around for the last sunspot cycle? Does 15m ever get really busy like 20m?

    Yes, I was around for several cycles. Propagation gets as good on 15 as on 20m, meaning signal-to-noise on 15 can get very high (12 and 10m as well). However, 20m has been around the longest and is placed (frequency wise) to be a great "happy medium". My opinion is 20 is very popular because it's popular; folks go to 20 to readily find many stations from which to choose.

    15m gets much better than last cycle!

    Since you like 15, I checked a spreadsheet and see that on 15m I've worked 319 countries (Mixed phone and CW). The DX is definitely there.
