Finally got K2K on 80SSB tonight for phone sweep, had to come inside (bugs, impending rain), but still QRP! I found WM3 bonus on CW and SSB, just couldn’t get GB or TM.
I think I need 5 or 6 more. There were more out there that I could hear on SSB but didn't want to mess with the pileups longer than I did. Couldn't hear any on CW.
Still needing K2F for a sweep on 40m CW with QCX 5 watt rig. They have been on a few times but our schedules haven't overlapped yet. Keeping my fingers crossed. This is the special event I really look forward to. I hope it continues every year,
He was a tough one on CW by refusing to work split and the tailending just gets longer and longer and longer on each go-round until you can't tell who is K2F and who is everyone else anymore. Even with a KW at my disposal it took some time. I wish more special event stations (the uber-popular ones like 13 Colonies etc.) would recognize they are just like a "rare DX" and run split accordingly. I suppose it's possible K2F was running a rig with only a single VFO (like an old Heathkit or Yaesu without external VFO) but not likely. Anyway, keep up the effort - he's been prolific on CW and you still have a few days left Dave W7UUU
FINALLY got GB13COL in the log for a full sweep of all + bonus stations Never really cared to bother in years past but I was sort of channeling Pat WA6MHZ and wanted to get them all just cuz he would have been fretting to the last minute to make the full sweep Dave W7UUU

worked a couple on the linear satellites today, although already worked all + 3 extra yestreday fun never-the-less
I got a clean sweep CW, SSB and digital, with exception of GB13. Can't find him on CW and the SSB pileups have been to nasty (and embarrassing) to play in. Getting all 13 colonies each mode was an absolute blast! What a great job by all the clubs and ops to make this such a successful, patriotic and fun event! I always look forward to 13 Colonies and RT66 events, and added Lewis and Clark Trail to the list this year too. Great job all! Thanks for all the fun!
In my QRP CW quest, I am now only missing GB13COL. He is on 14.038 now and working split, but I am not getting through. Still have a few more days.
