I was fortunate to clean sweep on both phone and digital last year with WmPenn(2) but it burned me out. I will be happy with a mixed for 26 and save my strength for Rte 66 in September. 73 to all participants!

WB2WIK - "I did just work WM3PEN (Philadelphia) a couple days ago on CW...guess he's "warming up" for the actual event."
They are also on for World Cup https://wc2026ses.org/

    N1WVQ - "The S.A.S.E I don't understand: a 1st-class stamp is 78¢."
When you get almost 1000 requests it adds up.

I wouldn't be surprised if you're the #1 certificate this year.

Really enjoy this event, one of the only that I’ve really worked since becoming licensed. I did struggle with GB13COL last year but I will say a number of operators were less than respectful. Anyway it appears I did sweep it and really enjoyed the individual states QSL cards.

I am the proud owner of one of the unique sase that was torn when the mailing envelope was opened. If you read the QSL instructions last year it was mentioned that the sase could be torn if not put in the envelope a certain way. Well I goofed, but it's all good and I am happy.

Consider getting a torn sase with your card this year if you have nothing better to do.

This is spot on ... I recently spoke with my nephew who is newish Ham ... the thing that keeps him going with his General is the card exchange ... without it, IMHO, using the radio verges on picking up a phone and calling, or sending an e-mail. No judgement intended, but if the hobby is partly about the human connection (for some it is mostly about the science, but I am an arts/humanities/social science guy vice a science, technology, engineering, math guy because the flower and fruit of the plant, not the stem, is where the beauty is), a person's card tells you volumes about them ... I still get real joy in the cards and am saddened to see the practice fall in abeyance.

The 13 Colonies Event has a nice set of QSL cards. Also check out the World Soccer Special Event going on now until July 19. Check out their QSL cards https://wc2026ses.org/qsl-cards
Work WM3PEN in Philadelphia July 1 -7 and when you send in your QSL card request you will get 1 card for soccer and 1 for the 13 Colonies..

I hope there are a few night owl ops this year. I have to work a majority of the event, which limits my on-air time to after midnight. Last year I resorted to calling GB13COL on D-Star. TM13COL was getting absolutely trounced to the point I couldn't hear them over the people calling, to call it a pile-up is an understatement. My thanks to all the volunteers, you all make it a fun event every year.
