Yes - spot on! It's REALLY easy - just get on the air and work stations! I can almost guarantee that if you have as few as 2 or 3 QSOs a day, in 12 days you will have easily achieved this award, since so many folks use QRZ logging And it can be ANY twelve days between now and the last day of February - they do NOT have to be consecutive! Nor all on the same band - just a minimum of one confirmed QSO on each of 12 days - DONE! Just remember the days are based on UTC, not on your local time (unless you live in the UTC time zone of course ) Dave W7UUU [of course, YOU must use QRZ logging as well but that should be pretty obvious ]
Holiday Greetings! 12 Days of QRZ is underway where you can start racking up confirmed contacts, one per day. A formal announcement is upcoming but wanted to provide a heads-up that starting on 12/14, Team K4Z will activate "12 Days of QRZ" daily for 12 Days offering confirmed contacts thru 12/25. Similar to our K4x History events, the K4Z QRZ Page will list real-time all activations to include frequency/mode/NCS name. The first draft of the K4Z QRZ page ready for viewing - head on over and be sure to check back for further updates as we get closer to 12/14 "all aboard" date - that reference will make more sense with the official announcement! Volunteer Net Controllers Needed - prior experience not required other than familiarity with the QRZ Logbook - you pick the mode/frequency and times with all contacts going into the K4z - QRZ Logbook. If interested, email: mailto:marc@w4ovt.org and you will receive a copy of the K4Z "12 Days of QRZ" NCS Guide we can discuss on-air (preferred) or by phone. Thanks to QRZ Staff for organizing this event for all to enjoy. Happy Holidays, Marc
We have not eliminated any bands from the award, you will just see the most common bands until you achieve a confirmation on one of the less common bands, and then you will see that. In the bottom left hand corner of the awards analyzer you can click to show all bands. Good luck and thanks for using the site! 73 and Happy Holidays! Jaime, KF7WIS
So far, one has been confirmed in the last couple of days. With 10 QSOs today I thought I might get number 2 but it isn't looking good. However, on a good note, I did finally get Sierra Leone today on 17m. I had been working 9L5A for several days and finally got a break today. I call this a good day
Remember you do NOT need to work all bands! (this is for anyone reading this). You don't even need all 12 confirmations to be sequential. It just needs to be 12 days total during the entire run of the event - and even if only on a single band. Thanks to all who are participating in this event - it's a fun one Dave W7UUU
