Has anyone seen a good 10 Meter Quad antenna project. I'd like to get a little direction to my 10 meter contacts which I now make off a vertical.

When you are driving around watch for 11 Meter PDLII Quads on towers. If you see one, stop and ask if the owner is still using it. If it is not in use and you can get your hands on it then you have all the parts for your 10 meter quad.

If not then it is easy to build one if you want to buy the aluminum tubing to support the fiberglass spreaders.

Of course you need to buy the spreaders too.

Do a Google Search for "QUAD ANTENNAS" and you will find lots of info including a site that allows you to put the frequency in and then it calculates the spreader length, wire length etc.

The last 10m quad I built I used 3/4in PVC and an aluminum boom. It was extremely cheap as I used 2 hole conduit straps to hold the spreaders on. I worked over 100 countries with it using an Armstrong rotor.
