I would just like to take this moment to wish EVERYONE a happy and joyous "Deaf CB'ers Day!" From my family to yours. 10-9?
Well, that thar's a big TAIN FOAR! Ten codes creeping onto the amateur frequencies has been going on for quite a while already. Haw!
Will you be here all week? Should I try the meatloaf? Would it be best to tip my waitress well? Dave W7UUU
HEY OH! Did I mention I'm wearing my plaid tuxedo? And do tip those waitresses -- Irma, Bernice, Dolores... Hard workin' gals.
Faster to say "20" than "Q-T-H", which is a ridiculous thing to vocalize anyway since it has exactly as many syllables as "location". Makes more sense to use a standardized set of vocal brevity codes than to speak Q-codes. CB users didn't invent 10-codes, anyway; might as well swear off using handheld mics because they're popular with truckers.
Funny you should mention that. I have. Damn truckers!! But I admit that D-104 gets a little awkward in the mobyle.
