I don't have my license handy for the exact date, but I have been licensed since 1965. So that's 56 years and still counting.

    Not to brag (but yes)
I'm 76 years old and have been pounding brass for 63 years (since 1958).

I completed the technician license on June 2020.
I completed the general license December 2020.
Then I completed the extra license April 2021.
At 55 years old I know I have a lot more to learn.

1 April 96 was my first day as a licensed ham.

    Best day ever

Never tried to figure that out. I is what I is today only and maybe tomorrow.
That is why my GF has to remind me of birthdays and such but that's probably because I never forget the day I first laid eyes on her. "Safety First" ;)

Is that because the FCC didn't come back and say "April Fool"?

That was my feeling too. Though it was a joke at first, but it stuck.
