    Felix OK9UWU and Tomi @HA6NAB are credited as intercepting and recording the signals by the mysterious "r00t.cz" who appears to have done the heavy-lifting on decode (unless that's Felix in disguise ;)) Quite an interesting web site.

    Younger Zedders should realize that radio amateurs have a long and distinguished legacy of contributing to the public transparency of space flight communications since the beginning with Sputnik.

    Here is a blog that details some of that continuing saga; Notable instances of recovering images or data from space missions.

    Includes examples like Larry W4EJA and others monitoring Apollo activity.

    In part to support the closely related venture Starlink. A higher-tech :rolleyes: era revival of classic "old school empire-building" using strategic vertical integration. A bold business practice many would have thought was totally extinct.

    Reminiscent of the early days of FOMOCO or Powel Crosley building "super-power" WLW to serve & stimulate sales of massive numbers of Crosley consumer radio receiver products.

    SpaceX now owns about a third of all active satellites in the sky.
