The Morse Telegraph Club (MTC) invites your membership. MTC is an association of retired railroad and commercial telegraphers, former telegraph industry employees, historians, radio amateurs and others with an interest in the history of telegraphy and the telegraph industry.

MTC is not another CW club. Rather, it is a nonprofit historical and educational association dedicated to preserving the history and traditions of telegraphy. MTC publishes a quarterly journal entitled “Dots and Dashes,” a sample of which is available at:

Members are also active designing and constructing museum exhibits, demonstrating telegraphy at historical events, assisting with steam train excursions and supporting similar activities. A recent example of a MTC historical project is covered in the following article courtesy of the National Railway Historical Society Harrisburg Chapter:

Radio amateurs are inheritors of many of the procedures and traditions of the telegraph industry. While the Continental Code used by radio amateurs is somewhat different from the original American Morse Code used in North American commercial telegraph practice, many of our prosigns and operating procedures are inherited directly from the world of professional telegraphy.

Please feel free to explore our web page at: www.morsetelegraphclub.org

A membership application is available at:

Our best wishes to all for a happy and healthy new year.

    73,

    Morse Telegraph Club
