    Bobby Jim Bellar
    August 23, 1938 – August 26, 2019
    Bobby was born on August 23, 1938 and passed away peacefully on Monday, August 26, 2019. Bob spent his early years in Louisiana before becoming an engineer and joining the Army rising to 1st Lieutenant in 1963 where he was a communications engineer. Post-Army, he worked for Collins in Richardson, TX where he found himself installing a pink phone for Lady Bird Johnson on Air Force One and helping build out the comms equipment on the Saturn V, among many other things. He then ran his own successful Company, Bellar Communications, up until he passed. His HAM Radio buddies new him as K5AHT. He is survived by his wife, Susan, siblings, Sis and Will, his children, Jay, Debbie, Chris, Wynn and Cleve, and their families. A viewing for friends and family will be held this Sunday, September 1, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Ted Dickey Funeral home at 2128 18th St. Plano, TX. Family is welcome to arrive at 1:00 PM.

    I knew Bob off and on over 20 years. He was a nice guy and had a
    ham party regularly at his home.

    RIP Bob, you earned and deserve it.
