    I followed Jeanne most of her remarkable voyage via her incredible blog. She really used amateur radio to stay in touch with the "outside" world. She's a wonderful example of how ham radio is a reliable means of communications in extreme environments. Thanks to those amateurs and maritime nets who kept her talked to her daily.

    Just one of many who followed Jeanne round the world. Heard her many times, but was never lucky enough to claim a contact.
    Inspiration to us all, and the Royal National Lifeboat Service. You go, Girl! I suspect your record is secure!

    Big Congrats to 77 year old Jeanne who encountered some of the worst sea conditions off South America and South Africa.

    Big Mahalo to the many Hams kept her company with encouragement.

    I was fortunate enough to have a QSO with Jeanne on August 28, She was on her home stretch. What a fantastic Lady. Her QSL card is now on the top of my pin board.
