As 2016 comes to an end the Hawaii amateur radio operators would like to take this opportunity to thank all Volunteer Examiners (VE’s) who gave up their time to train, test, and mentor others who have become radio operators in 2016.

Oahu Volunteer Examiners administered exams to 191people in 2016 with 123 passing. Over 20 sessions and 191 elements administered for an 83% pass rate. 70 new technicians, 29 new generals and 15 new extra licenses were issued on Oahu in 2016.

A big Mahalo to the 22 VE’s from the Emergency Amateur Radio Club Sessions who volunteered their time in order to make 2016 a successful year for growing our hobby.
