International headlines recently broke of an unexplained radio signal that’s been discovered in the Milky Way galaxy. Ziteng (Andy) Wang from the University of Sydney, the lead researcher in the discovery, joins me LIVE! to discuss.
I heard it too, it is W2NQ/W7 checking dx propagation from call area number 7. Transmitting from out in some far far away galaxy.
TL;DW did they mention the frequency of the mysterious signals? No other reports of this did. Very disappointing. Grumble science pop writing grumble C minus art students grumble.
It’s a broadband signal starting around 700 MHz and going up well into the GHz range. It’s also sub-audible to human hearing.
