Hello it is still up I have had not had to take it down yet but look's likes like I am for here it mates to the mast they used one bolt and over the years
of the slight rocking side to side, it opens up so drill a hole for one more bolt. I also put the hose clamps on. Dan, N8WMZ

    HI CARMINE,

REGARDING YOUR CONCERN "too much stress on the roof".

DEPENDING UPON THE TYPE OF ROOF TOWER MOUNT YOU
    PURCHASE.

    https://www.rohnnet.com/tripod-rooftop-mount

    http://www.w8io.com/rooftower.htm

YOU COULD HAVE A CONTRACTOR PUT DOWN SOME
PRESSURE TREATED 2/12 INCH BOARDS ON THE
ROOF AND THEN MOUNT THE TOWER ON THE BOARDS.

THE BOARDS SHOULD BE LONG ENOUGH TO BRIDGE
THE ROOF RAFTERS. ALSO, BE SURE TO USE A WHOLE
BUNCH OF GOOD QUALITY PETROLEUM BASED ROOF GUNK.

THIS WILL REDUCE THE STRESS TO THE ROOF FROM THE TOWER.

HAVE LOTS OF FUN AND WORK SAFELY.

    HAPPY HOLIDAYS

I was raised in a late 1800's Brooklyn two family three level brownstone, one room wide and 3 deep. A later two car garage out back and one apple tree.
