100 watts is a nice power output on a wire, but 15 to 18 watts is fun also. I got my Tech ticket back in Dec of 2013 and the next year I hit Bosnia once, Aruba once, Brazil twice
plus two stations on the western edge of Arizona twice from 35 miles just east of the Cleveland Ohio area. I got that far off of a 4:1 Unun, end fed 85 foot long, 180 lb test stainless
steel down rigger fishing line antenna, up approx 16 feet from ground in a 90 deg horizontal setup, one leg runs N/S and other leg E/W , with an old HR2600 10 meter mobile radio doing
between 15 and 18 watts on usb.. and my MFJ -949E tuner.

I don't think this power level is quite QRP, but is in the realm of some old mobile radios that are easy to drag out into the field with a battery, a long wire and an antenna tuner to have some fun with.
