I have done it before but forgot. How do you insert and gif with motion into the QRZ web site for ones station.
Hello, Duane. Your animated image is too big, it should be re-size before upload. I am already re-size it and upload to your QRZ page image gallery as xx.gif file Is this size OK for you? Thanks and 73 Vlad NA6JD aka UA6JD QRZ's senior page designer https://ssl.qrz.com/products/subdesign.html
What's the maximum file size? I tried to upload one a few minutes ago (around 8MB in size) and got this message:
You can't use the "Upload a File" option for motion GIF images. That's why you're getting that error. You have to use the "Image" tag in the tool bar, and link to the GIF from any number of 3rd party hosting sites like Photobucket etc. The image tag allows you to paste the "live link" to the animated GIF. Just note: MANY people in the 21st century hate motion GIFs being posted - "1996 called and they want their internet back"... and the links are prone to breaking over time - hosting sites aren't always "permanent storage" and your link will often expire relatively soon, leaving a broken image link behind in your post. Be kind to others. Keep files as small as possible. Then even us with Dialup can enjoy. 8 meg is large enough to be a movie.
