For this date starting at Monday 22nd till 26th of August I applied for a SES call sign YL1DOG. https://www.qrz.com/db/yl1dog In all countries over the world the animal shelters are packed with cats and dogs and I feel obligated to give exposure to this. In my power as a radio amateur and animal lover bringing attention to these abandoned pets, is the least I can do. It would be great if more operators would join in and use a SES call sign. Our English setter, Iggy, was rescued in northern Greece and flown to the US from Paris along with other abandoned dogs from Greece and Turkey. We’ve had 4 rescued English sitters and all have been wonderful, loving dogs. I’ll look for you in August. 73!

That is one overweight Corgi! I should know, I've had them for over 20 years now but can't say I've had one that like to be vacuumed, in fact my current two don't even like to be brushed! I agree, it's also on my list of "things to do", but pretty far down on the list. Which is surprising since when I got my current ticket, I had to pass the 13 WPM code test, but I guess my knowledge of CW was pushed out of the brain a while ago to make room for other knowledge. 73
