    Im not sure I understand, although the tagline caught my curiosity piqued, I thought HAM was a noun

    Would I be out of line if I were to say the ARRL CEO hams with, “members who play an important role in our community or who were large donors.”

    So taking the WordNet definition of the verb, the tag line could suggest his exaggerated acting in the role of CEO. History shows that has been a common trait of a couple recent CEOs - IMO, at least.

    We live in a world where people want to not only control, but distort or incorrectly portray, facts.

    Dave is a good person and deserves better treatment than taking his comments either out of context, or paraphrased in such a way that it misrepresents his point of view. So why should he cooperate given that situation?

    He is owed an apology.
