Of course not! If nobody uses the system, we don't have any ammunition to hold anyone accountable. That's failure by default. I really can't believe anyone considers that to be a viable option.

    A dose of reality

This is not the first time a country purposely jammed the airwaves . It’s been going on more or less continuously by various countries since at least the end of WW2. And on top of that we have militaries of many of the same countries running their HF radars all over the bands at will from time to time.

If you think that any international organization of any type is able to stop this, then you’re smoking some really good stuff.

There seems to be some unknown carrier signals taking place on 40 meters, and I have found the same signals on the 41 and 49 meter bands. Anyone know what this is about?

There is a different type of jamming coming out of the North tip of South America it's operating on mainly on the marine frequencies.
I've also heard it on 40 m some the last two days. Some timed it actually triggers on you if you transmit with a good signal at it/ then it will come on. It's totally different and looks digital but it's not.
Based on some sources it has a directional signal to the North and is not near as strong in Central America

How about expressing your freedom of speech and contacting the Cuban embassy in Washington, DC to express your displeasure?

Yea, let's just all roll over and do nothing. That's what all good American socialists are promoting as is indicated by the current administrations total disregard for what is happening in Cuba.

I guess thread is closely monitored, just wanted to add that previous Brazilian Gov was «Mano en la mano» with Cuba (not only Cuba) from brotherhood ideology to all kind of lousy partnerships.

So, what could Brazilians hams from Nordeste, probably suffering from jamming, be thinking these days? Mistery.

An approach we quickly learned, that WORKED WELL on 11M back in it's heyday, was to have a list of all your buddies' phone numbers. When the jackholes showed up and started to interfere, we would mute the CB, call the friend, and use the phone, while transmitting and feigning to receive. The mutant op could have 10KW, be in our driveway, and STILL couldn't get between us! We caught a couple of them using this method too. We also used to triangulate jackh0les, giving each other our azimuths over the phone.
Well, when you can't use your thousands of dollars worth of equipment to TALK on, you have to think outside of the box sometimes.

The problem might be that we can't hear you over the jamming

    No worries Mon.
We'll be spotted on the cluster on too many bands for them to interfere with all the operators.
